The two images on the right are the inside half (digitally split in two) of a double self addressed one-cent stamped reply postcard for a free sample of Fleischmann's Compressed Yeast. This card was one of several postcards sent to S. R. Buford and Co. in Virginia City, Mont…though the spelling of Buford varies, sometimes spelled Beauford, or Burford as on this card.
Card reads,
"Form 10DD.
For Light Bread, Vienna Bakings,
Excellent Buns, Rolls,
Buckwheat Cakes, Etc.
OFFICE OF
FLEISCHMANN & CO.
Butte, Mont.
DEAR SIR:—
Upon the return of half of this postal card please write for a free sample of our "FAMILY" COMPRESSED YEAST, put up in tin-foil under our yellow label. This will in no sense place you under obligations to us for an order. We adopt this method simply to advertise the superior quality of our yeast. Kindly give it a trial yourself, and distribute to your trade.
Yours very respectfully,
FLEISCHMANN & CO.
(COONEY BROS., Agents),
P. O. Box 918.
Butte, Mont."
