Front reads, "Near Culbertson, Mont" Nothing on reverse. Collector wrote, "Indians on the Res. Fort Peck 'Billy the Dude' seated second from the left lived at Culbertson have seen them all several times"

Reverse reads, "The Huffman Pictures Milestown, Montana A
Crow Hunter, Winter Dress. I made this picture at Fort Keogh, Montana,
in 1879 or 1880, when a large band of Crows were hunting, trading,
racing horses and bartering buffalo skins and their women with the white
hunters and rivermen wintering near Fort Keogh. The pompadour foretop
is peculiar to the Crow Indians." Never mailed.
