The reverse of the above left postcard reads:
"An aristocrat of the steam power era on American railways is exhibited in Havre, Mont. She is engine No.2584, last of the steam locomotives acquired by Great Northern Railway in 1930 to pull the famed Empire Builder. No 2584 burned oil, weighs 764,860 pounds, is 103 feet 3 inches long, has 80-inch drive wheels and is 15 feet high from the rail to the tope of her smokestack. Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works, No. 2584 was retired from service in 1955 and placed on permanent display at Great Northern passenger station in Havre on May 15, 1964."
